Assessment path

From first call to ranked findings

Our flagship Real-Time Event Flow Assessment follows a repeatable path so stakeholders know what happens each week. Use this page to brief your internal sponsors before you inquire.

Week −1

Scope and access

We confirm which applications and environments are in play, which event types matter commercially, and what read-only access or escorted observation you can provide. Sensitive systems stay behind your controls; we adapt the depth of the map to what you can open.

Days 1–3

Producer and consumer interviews

Short working sessions with the people who emit and apply events. We sketch the real path — including the awkward side channels that never made the architecture slide — and note where counts or acknowledgements are missing.

Days 4–7

Flow observation

Guided by your operators, we watch nominated streams during representative hours. The goal is not to collect every metric; it is to see how lag, retries, and drops present themselves in your current views.

Days 8–10

Anomaly lens and findings

We pressure-test where unusual sequences would go unnoticed, draft the written assessment, and hold a closing briefing. Owners leave with ranked gaps and suggested observation points — not a generic maturity scorecard.

What you prepare

  • A named sponsor who can introduce us to producer and consumer owners
  • Recent incident notes involving late, missing, or duplicated events
  • Any existing diagrams of topics, streams, or queues — imperfect sketches welcome
  • Clarity on which environments (production-like staging vs production) we may observe

What we deliver

  • An event-flow map for the agreed scope
  • A findings memo with prioritized anomaly and observation gaps
  • A live briefing (up to 90 minutes) for stakeholders
